MaineStream Finance offers Business Workshops during
National Entrepreneurship Week
This annual celebration is designed to expand the visibility of
National Entrepreneurship Week in the United States. Our plans are to institutionalize it as a celebration of
American entrepreneurs and the lifelong learning educational opportunities that prepare the NEW business leaders of
the future. The Week is in response to the U S House of Representatives Resolution #699, supporting an annual
National Entrepreneurship Week and encouraging the celebration of it annually at the local, state, and national
levels.
These trainings, offered through MaineStream Finance, a subsidiary
of Penquis, provides an overview of the pros and cons of operating a microenterprise, what a business plan is, why
it is needed and resources for business development assistance. There is no cost to participate but
pre-registration is required.
Business 101 classes will be offered on Monday, February 14th at
1:00 pm at Penquis, 262 Harlow St., Bangor; Wednesday, February 16th at 10am at Penquis, 170 Pleasant Street,
Rockland; Wednesday, February 16th at 6:00 pm at Penquis, 50 North St., Dover- Foxcroft; and Thursday, February
17th at 6 p.m. at the Katahdin Area Higher Education Center, East Millinocket. To register for this opportunity, go

This class is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with
the U.S. Small Business Administration.
